Cool Activity Games For Your Toddler

Play is essential to every toddler development. It is the special way of toddler to learn things, acquire new skills, and become socially aware of other kids. Playtime should also be your ideal moment to bond with your toddler. Set off some cool, interactive games that you and your toddler will enjoy.

“Follow the leader” game
Your toddler sees you as his model. And most of the times, he would rather play with you than other children his age. Thus, an ideal game could be “follow the leader”. At play, you could urge your toddler to follow you around like a leader. Wherever you go, he should go. When you turn, he also has to turn. That’s the basic rule. For example, the “choo-choo train” game makes your kid to follow and hold you from behind as you walk, run, stop, and say “Choo-choo!”

Dancing game
Dancing game is a classic. Dance to the rhythm of your kid’s favorite pop music. To spice it up you can play a stop dance game where your toddler dances while the music is on and then freezes when music is stopped.

“Bring me” game
Your child doesn’t need to wait for a birthday party to play this cool game. Play it with your kid anytime! It can be even be a way to teach your toddler about colors, when you say, “Bring me purple socks!”… or shapes, like “Bring me a red ball!” This game is fun when your toddler gets to compete with other kids, as well as when prizes like candies or toddler toys are at stake for the first kid who handed over to you the item.

Role playing game
Who is your child’s favorite hero? Spiderman? Superman? A fairy princess? Set up a role playing game where your toddler can wear a suit similar to a superhero. Then play a pretend that your kid is saving you from the “clutches of evil”.

Obstacle course game
Make sure to set up obstacles that are simple and safe, like cave-like boxes, cushions to hop on, etc. Scatter around the toddler toys then urge your child to go through the obstacles and collect as many toddler toys as possible.

Chase the bubbles
Chasing bubbles from small to big sizes can be a lot of fun. This is best done on a lawn than at the floor that can get slippery when wet with bubbles.

Encourage a healthy toddler development by promoting fun activity games, which can turn a dull moment into a playful period of laughter and excitement.
