  2.     Keep it simple. Teach your toddler one to two table manners at a time to avoid overwhelming your toddler with rules.
  3.     Set up a reward system in which your toddler gets a prize whenever he’s able to follow. For instance, you can give cookies for each polite behavior observed at the table.
  4.     Recognized your toddler’s efforts and applaud him for always trying.
  5.     Keep your expectations on a realistic level. Don’t forget that toddlers and there’s a learning curve and good habits can take a while to form.
  6. Some table manners you can teach your toddler include:
  7.     Basic table manner that your toddler should know is to not talk when him mouth is full.
  8.     Never put an entire sandwich, no matter how small it is, straight into the mouth. Eat it in small portions.
  9.     Train your toddler not to rest his elbows on the table but also say it’s okay to put part of the upper arm on the table.
  10.     Remind your toddler to take his time and not be in a hurry to finish eating. Aside from being unpleasant, it is also unhealthy to just gulp down large portion of food.
