MOMGOALS: Cat Juan Ledesma

0

There is definitely something about Cat Juan Ledesma that is magical. She is elegant, yet unassuming. She is free spirited, yet impressively accomplished. She juggles numerous roles but maintains a glowing aura of serenity and grace.

A former model and beauty editor of Metro Magazine, Cat is now a (constantly kilig) wife to her husband Carlo, and mother to her two beautiful children Fin and Nara. She once led a glamorous and fast paced life that was exciting, and perfect for her lifestyle as a beautiful, single woman. But since she married and mothered two children, she has made intentional decisions about her work to focus on her priorities.

However, while the nature of work may have changed, she certainly has not slowed down.

She is currently a communications professional for the Beacon Academy: a non-profit global Filipino high school, the producer of The Parent Files: an online parenting show that airs on www.industree.tv. a co-founders of Try Local PH: A social media movement that puts the spotlight on local brands, and (just for fun, it seems) a beauty writer for calyxta.com.

When I wake up in the morning, the first thing I do is…drink a glass of lemon water.

My typical day looks like…work in Laguna, writing for my blog, activities with my husband Carlo and our kids Fin and Nara.

My roles are…educator, writer, mother, wife.

My goals are…to continue doing what I love.

My children are...the most phenomenal gifts my husband and I have ever received.

Before I become a mom, I wish someone told me that…you’re not going to be able to do it all and that’s okay.

I think the best thing about motherhood is…the pure delight your children offer just by being themselves.

I think the hardest thing about motherhood is…balancing time with the other things you love to do.

I deal with stress by…using aromatherapy and watching Netflix.

I believe that balance is…learning how to say no to many people who want your time.

I admire my husband because…he travels through life light.

I can’t live without…my family.

One thing people don’t know about me is…I used to spin fire as a sideline.

My life motto is…love the now.

My favorite book is…too many! Here are some of them: One Hundred Years of Solitude, House of the Spirits, The Kite Runner, So Far From God, Neverwhere.

My dream is…to leave this planet in better shape for my children.

I end my days by…asking the kids to share one thing they are grateful for today.
