Baby shower is one of the exciting parts of having a baby. So if you’re planning to host one for a friend, just like weddings, make it an event to remember by playing some little fun games the guests will truly enjoy.
Aside from decorations, great food, gifts, and prizes, you should also think of games that will make your guests entertained for the rest of the night. Instead of the usual scrabble or Bingo, why not try other baby shower party games that are fun and challenging at the same time.
Never Say Baby. You’ll need baby safety pins or any other type of baby accessories that you can place on a string for each woman on the party and a ball of yarn, enough for each woman to wear as necklace. As soon as a guest arrives, have her place the necklace with the baby safety pins around her neck. The rule of this shower game is whenever someone says the word “baby” all throughout the shower party; the woman who calls it out gets the other woman’s pin that said the word. Whoever has the most number of safety pins at the end of the shower wins a prize.
Name Baby Items till they drop. Materials needed are pen and paper. The rule of the game is simple, all guests must write down as many baby products as they can (blanket, bottle, pacifier, crib, etc. within 5 minutes. It may seem easy, but rest assured that during the last minute of the game, each lady will rack her brains out for more ideas. Of course, whoever named the most baby products wins.
Guess who that baby is. Ask your guests to bring one baby picture of themselves and number each picture and post them on a wall where everyone can see. Give each one a sheet of paper and let them guess which baby picture belongs to each guest. The person with the most correct guesses wins.
Guest the Waist. Since the soon to be mom can be a little sensitive over her size, instead of measuring in inches, get a yarn and have each guest pull the length of yarn they believe would perfectly fit the soon to be mom’s pregnant tummy. Whoever is closest to the actual size gets a prize.
Baby shower is a great way for the soon to be mom to welcome the new member of her family and what better way can she celebrate this wonderful blessing than with close friends. So make sure to get your creative juices flowing and think of exciting games and activities that will make the shower party an event to remember.
