There are times when no matter how much we prepare for Christmas, we miss out on some of our dear inaanaks. Or sometimes, because we’re too busy or we just avoid the mall altogether, we end up cramming and looking for last-minute gifts.

To help you out, here are some options you can consider for last-minute gifts for your godchildren or inaanaks.

Order online from a shop that offers same-day delivery

Online shopping is probably one of the most convenient things invented for us busy moms. With just a few swipes and taps, you can quickly find something that your inaanak might like. Make sure to look for online shops that offer same-day delivery. It might cost a little bit more, but it’s safer considering there could be delays if you opt for the usual courier.

Cash

Some kids might have some toys, clothes or gadgets they like to buy but are too expensive to ask as gifts. For these instances, it would be a good idea to give cash gifts that they could add to their pool. Just buy a money envelope from the bookstore (or just about any envelope will do), write your message and you’re done!

Electronic Gift Checks

If you’re not comfortable giving cash, consider giving electronic gift checks. Just do a quick search on Google and you’ll find some local providers of electronic gift checks that can be used for a variety of merchants.

Book Tickets

They say that experiences are better gifts than material things. Consider buying tickets to Disney on Ice, a movie, a play or a museum that your inaanak can use before classes start.

I-owe-you note

If all else fails and you’d like to buy more time to find something more meaningful, be creative and come up with a promissory note.

Remember that as the old saying goes, it’s the thought that counts. So don’t stress yourself over buying last-minute gifts. The true role of a godparent does not start and end with gift-giving.
