Playtime With Anika

Play is essential to every toddler developmetn. It is the special way of toddler to learn things, acquire new skills and become socially aware of other kids. Playtime should also be your ideal moment to bond with your toddler. Set off some cool, interactive games that you and your toddler will enjoy.

Anika loves to play. If her Tatay and I are in one room, she always chooses to go with me. She’d sit beside me while watching her favorite dvds. She’d follow me around the room. But but but! If it is harutan time, Anika makes me deadma and goes straight to her Tatay. I don’t blame her though. I do not have the strength to carry her, superman style around the room. Parang mababali ata likod ko. Nor do I have the balls to pretend to throw her to the bed. She shrieks with delight whenever her Tatay does this to her.

We also play bahay bahayan.

We also play Follow the Leader. I stomp around the room while Anika “stomps” behind me. With stomping I mean, Anika walks behind me then pauses to stomp her one foot then hurry back behind me. Ang cute! Hehe!

We also play Hide and Seek especially before Anika sleeps at night. I will be carrying her then she will be switching off our lights. Then I’ll switch it on then Anika will look where her Tatay hid. Mind you, our room’s not big ha. So Alvin squeezes himself inside the cabinets or dives under the comforter or hides behind my back or one time, went under our bed cushion. Pahirapan pero priceless the time when we hear her say BULALA! when she finds her Tatay =)

Anika’s favorite game though is the Chase the Bubbles.
