Ask your child how old he is and if he doesn’t reply, or doesn’t reply correctly, it is a very appropriate to tell him his age and to help him show the right number on his fingers. Count the fingers for him and repeat, “1, 2…you are 2 years old, very good!” Do this over consecutive days until it is automatic. Once your child can do this three times at least a day apart, that is a good indication that he has it!
