Do this simple kitchen experiment to demonstrate a chemical reaction to your child. Put two teaspoons of bicarbonate of soda in a container. Mix a half a cup of water with 2 tablespoons of vinegar in a jug. Pour the vinegar mixture over the bicarbonate of soda and watch it bubble.
